Murcia is a varied region with the sandy beaches of the Costa Calida contrasting with a relatively undiscovered interior containing some real gems. Murcia has been said to encapsulate all that is Spain in a relatively small region, beautiful coastline, sandy beaches, ancient cities, protected mountain ranges and fertile valleys growing everything from salad vegitables and citrus fruits to soft fruits such as apricots and of course grapes and even rice.
