We first visited in The Region of Murcia in November 2001, we were visiting the area to take some photographs for our Direct2Spain website, which now specialises in selling property in the Region of Murcia (previous to that visit we sold property in the Alicante Region.) We travelled down towards the La Manga Strip, we were fascinated with the salad crops growing in the fields, the orange and lemon groves and the nearly derelict windmills. It was a far cry from the concrete jungle and overbuilt high rise mass of Torreveija, we were smitten.
We travelled on to the La Manga Strip and the first sight of the Mediterranean from the only hill on the strip took our breath away. The La Manga Strip was stretching far ahead of us, standing proud in the sunlight with just a narrow strip of land before it touched the Mar Menor. Wow, where else would you find a unique situation such as this.
We fell in love with the area and we bought a property on the La Manga Strip two days later. Since that day we now specialise in the Region of Murcia, we would not want to sell in any other region, because we think this is so special.
We have travelled the length and breadth of the Region of Murcia, mostly for our own pleasure, but also finding property for clients looking for holiday rentals, investment and relocation. We are often asked by our clients for more information about the area and it has been very difficult to find anything written in English, so we have decided to put together this website. John is also an accomplished photographer and now has thousands of photographs of the area and we would like to share these with you.
Our favourite hobby is visiting Restaurants and tasting their menu, we have listed ones that we would recommend and we hope that you will have time to visit these and try them for yourselves.
